TUNEE SUBSCRIBE FAQ

Credits

1. How do credits work?
Regular conversations are completely free and don't consume any credits.
Music creation: Credits power the entire music creation workflow, including:
    • File analysis and task processing
    • Music composition planning
    • Lyrics generation
    • Web search and research
    • Final music generation
Music video (MV) creation: Credit usage depends on:
    • Number of keyframes generated
    • Generation attempts and iterations
    • Final MV generation
Credit consumption factors:
    • Length and complexity of your input
    • Size of uploaded files
    • Number of conversation rounds
    • Context depth and history
💡 Simple rule: More complex tasks and richer content require more credits.
2. How can I track my credit usage?
You can view detailed credit usage in two locations:
Project page: Check the top-right corner of any project
Personal Center: Navigate to Credits > Usage for comprehensive history
3. What happens if credits are deducted for a failed song generation?
If a song generation fails and credits were deducted, please contact us in our Tunee Forum with your project link. We'll review and refund the credits after verification.
4. Can I buy credits individually?
Individual credit purchases aren't currently available. Credits are included with paid subscription plans. We may introduce standalone credit purchases in the future.
5. How is the validity period of credits calculated?
The validity period varies depending on the source of credits:
Daily Credits
    • Valid for 1 day only.
    • Do not carry over to the next day.
Event Credits
    • Typically valid for 30 days.
    • Specific validity periods are listed in event terms.
Membership Credit
    • Valid from subscription start date through the end of your subscription term.
    • Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle.
There are no reminders for credit expiration. Please monitor your credit usage and validity periods yourself.
Credits are deducted in order of expiration, with the soonest-to-expire points used first. If you have an active membership, the system will generally deduct your daily credits first.

Subscription Plans

1. What are the pricing and benefits for each plan?
Basic Plan: $18/month or $180/year ($15/month)
Plus Plan: $38/month or $384/year ($32/month)
Pro Plan: $88/month or $900/year ($75/month)
Each higher tier includes all benefits from lower tiers. All paid plans include copyright certificates, music mastering, stem separation, and MV generation.
For complete benefit details, please visit the Upgrade page.
Note: Monthly subscriptions run on 30-day cycles, and annual subscriptions run on 360-day cycles (30 days × 12 months).
2. How can I upgrade my subscription?
To upgrade your plan:
    • Click your Avatar in the top-right corner
    • Select Upgrade
    • Choose your desired plan
What happens when you upgrade?
    • You pay only the price difference between the two plans, and you receive the credit difference between the two plans
    • Your existing credits remain available and can continue to be used, and additional credits are added to your account immediately
    • Your renewal date resets to your upgrade date
Example:
Upgrading from Basic to Plus on the 15th requires payment of the $20 price difference ($38 - $18), and you will receive 2,200 additional credits (4,000 - 1,800 difference) while all existing credits are preserved.Your new billing cycle starts on the 15th, and your next renewal will be 30 days later (the 14th of the next month).
3. What happens when I upgrade from a monthly plan to an annual plan at the same tier?
Upgrading from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription at the same tier offers a lower effective monthly rate. You only need to pay the price difference, and your original billing cycle remains unchanged.
How it works:
    • You pay the difference between your annual plan cost and what you've already paid for the current month
    • Your billing date stays the same as when you first subscribed
    • Credits continue to be distributed monthly on your original billing date
    • No additional credits are issued in the month of upgrade (since you've already received that month's allocation)
    • Your next renewal will be 360 days (12 × 30-day cycles) from your original subscription date
Example: If you subscribed to Basic Monthly on October 15th ($18/month, 1,800 credits) and upgrade to Basic Annual on October 20th:
    • Payment required: $162 ($180 annual cost - $18 already paid)
    • Credits issued on upgrade: 0 (you already received October's 1,800 credits on the 15th)
    • Next credit distribution: 30 days from October 15th (November 14th, 1,800 credits)
    • Next renewal date: 360 days from October 15th, 2025
    • Monthly savings: $3/month ($18 vs. $15 effective rate)
4. How does auto-renewal work?
When you purchase a subscription, it automatically renews for the period shown on the subscription page at the current rate. Your payment method will be charged at the beginning of each new term for the applicable fees and taxes.
5. How does subscription billing work?
    • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance based on your selected plan;
    • Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle at the current price;
    • You can cancel anytime to prevent future renewals by following this path: Avatar → Manage Account → Manage → Cancel renewal
6. Can I still use my remaining credits after canceling my subscription?
Yes. When you cancel your subscription, your membership benefits and remaining credits stay active until the end of your current billing cycle. You can continue using all features and credits during this time.
7. Can I transfer my membership status to another account?
We don't currently support transferring memberships between accounts. If you need to switch accounts, simply cancel your existing subscription and purchase a new one for your preferred account.

Payments & Billing

1. What payment methods does Tunee support?
We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, and AliPay. More payment options like PayPal are coming soon.
Payment issues? Contact support@tunee.ai with your transaction details for assistance.
2. How do I know if my subscription was successful?
Verify your subscription by checking for these indicators:
    • Your profile shows Basic/Plus/Pro (not "Free")
    • You can download copyright certificates
    • Your credits have been added to your account
3. Why does it still ask me to subscribe after I've paid?
First, verify your subscription status:
If your profile shows "Free" instead of a paid plan:
    • Your payment may not have processed successfully
    • Contact support@tunee.ai with your user ID and payment receipt
If your profile shows a paid plan:
    • You may have used all your credits
    • Consider upgrading to a higher tier or waiting for your monthly renewal
4. Where can I find the invoice after purchase?
Access your invoices through: Avatar → Credits → Usage → Manage → Invoice list

Copyright & Ownership

1. Who owns the music I generate on Tunee?
Free Plan:
    • Music ownership belongs to Tunee
    • You may use songs for non-commercial purposes only
    • Attribution to Tunee is required
Paid Plans (Basic/Plus/Pro):
    • You own full rights to all music created during your subscription
    • Lifetime commercial usage rights included
    • Use for monetization, advertising, games, and more
2. How do I download the copyright certificate?
Copyright certificates are attached to individual songs. You can access them from:
Project page: Click on the music card, or open the song details page and select "Copyright Certificate" from the "More" menu.
Music library: Find the song, click "More," and select "Copyright Certificate."
3. What information is included in the Copyright Certificate?
Each certificate includes licensor (QUSTAR TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD.) and licensee information, license date, song title/URL/ID, and usage rights. It confirms you have permanent personal and commercial rights to the AI-generated music, including editing, modifying, and distribution.
4. Can I download the copyright certificate multiple times?
Yes. As long as you own the copyright for the song, you can download the certificate anytime.
5. What about songs created during a paid plan that are remixed after cancellation—do I still own them? And what if I generated a song on the free plan, then remixed it during a paid subscription—can I use it commercially?
Original song created during paid subscription
    • You retain full ownership and commercial rights permanently
    • Remixing after cancellation does not affect your rights
Original song created on free plan
    • No commercial rights even if remixed during paid subscription
    • Copyright does not belong to you
Key point: Copyright depends on when the original song was created, not when it was remixed.
6. Can I buy copyright for a single song?
Yes, but only paid subscribers can purchase commercial rights for historical songs (songs created before or outside your subscription period).
As a paid member, you receive:
Automatic commercial rights for all songs created during your active subscription
Free historical song rights each month:
      • Basic: 1 song/month
      • Plus: 1 songs/month
      • Pro: 3 songs/month
Need additional historical song rights?
Upgrade your plan for a higher monthly allowance
Purchase individually at $5 per song
Free plan users must upgrade to a paid subscription to access commercial rights.

Refunds

For Users in Other Regions
Both monthly and annual memberships are eligible for refunds within 7 days of purchase.
2. Refund Amount Calculation
Refunds are calculated based on your credit usage:
No usage (0% consumed): If you have not used any Credits, you will receive a full refund, less applicable payment processing fees.
Partial usage (1%–80% consumed): If your subscription Credit usage is 80% or less, we will calculate the refund pro-rata based on unused Credits, and deduct applicable payment processing fees.
High usage (over 80% consumed): If your subscription Credit usage exceeds 80%, no refund will be issued.
Refund Example
Scenario: If you purchased a Basic monthly plan ($18) and used 50% of your credits (900 out of 1,800 credits).
Calculation:
    • Subscription price: $18
    • Unused credits: 50% (900 credits)
    • Refund before fees: $18 × 50% = $9
    Final refund: ~$9 – processing fees (at least 3$) = $6
